A Journey Across India's Most Demanding Leadership Crucibles
Capt. Rahul Sharma's career reads like a masterclass in leadership versatility. It began in 1988 with a commission in the Indian Army - one of the most demanding leadership schools in the world, where he developed the discipline, mission-focus, and people instincts that would define everything that followed.
From the parade ground, he moved into the five-star hospitality world, leading HR and Training for ITC Hotels — Sheraton, Marriott, and Four Seasons properties, where people excellence is a non-negotiable business requirement. He then took that same rigour into the MNC world at Sodexo India as Country Head HRT, and into the technology sector at iflex solutions (later Oracle Financial Software Solutions) as GM Employee Engagement.
The complexity deepened as he moved into India's most demanding corporate environments, serving as Group Head and SVP HR at India Infoline (IIFL) and Dewan Housing Finance (DHFL). He then stepped into the role of CHRO at H Dipak and Co - a family-owned diamond, gems, jewellery, and 3D printing enterprise demonstrating the rare ability to professionalise a founder-led business without losing its soul.
In 2014, he founded RH Factor Consulting Group - bringing all of this to India's startups, MSMEs, large corporates, and healthcare institutions. Today, over a decade later, RH Factor is the consulting practice he built from conviction, not convenience
